“Arctic Update” is a daily newsletter compiled by the US Arctic Research Commission (USARC). The newsletter provides information on daily events related to the Arctic, compiles international and national media stories, alerts you about recent legislation on the Arctic and gives links to future events and meetings. Subscribing to the “Arctic Update” is easy!

Visit http://www.arctic.gov/arctic_update/index.html and click the “Subscribe” link. You will be prompted to submit your e-mail address and then your name and affiliated organization. Then you will be on the e-mail list to stay current on Arctic issues.

The NOAA Arctic Report Card is an annual report on the condition of the Arctic that presents comprehensible peer-reviewed materials written for a range of audiences including the general public, students, and professionals. NOAA states that it is a “source for clear, reliable and concise environmental information on the current state of different components of the Arctic environmental system relative to historical records.”  This report relates the current state of the Arctic in terms of the atmosphere, sea ice and oceans, marine ecosystems, terrestrial ecosystems and the terrestrial cryosphere.
