Are you passionate about climate change and looking for an opportunity to contribute to moving the needle toward more hopeful conservations and community-level solutions? If so, volunteering with the National Network for Ocean and Climate Change Interpretation (NNOCCI) may be a great fit for you!
NNOCCI is excited to announce that we are now recruiting for committee and team volunteers! NNOCCI currently has 4 committees: Membership Engagement, Training, Communications, and Science. Additionally, this year we are adding two new ‘teams’: (1) Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Team that will work across committees to support NNOCCI’s JEDI goals and objectives, and (2) a Transition Team that will support the NNOCCI network in transitioning from our current model to an autonomous model.
Each of these volunteer roles has a two-year term (except for the Transition Team, which is expected to complete their work in approximately one year). You do not have to be on the NNOCCI governing council to apply, anyone is welcome! This is a great way to get involved with NNOCCI again or for the first time. There is a lot of space for learning, creativity, and new ideas!
Further information and applications can be found here.
Please apply by the end of the day Thursday, April 15th!
