The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is pleased to invite you to participate in a public work group to discuss the development of the Clean Mobility in Schools Pilot Project of the Low Carbon Transportation Investments and Air Quality Improvement Program (AQIP).
This work group will provide an opportunity to meet with staff and other participants interested in the development of the Clean Mobility in Schools Pilot Project. Staff will provide an overview of the process, criteria, and potential implementation strategies. Staff will be available to answer questions and receive stakeholder input.

The fiscal year 2018-19 Funding Plan allocated up to $10 million from the Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Fund for Low Carbon Transportation Investments to provide incentives for reducing greenhouse gases from schools in disadvantaged communities.
The goal of this new grant is to deploy synergistic greenhouse gas emission reduction techniques that can be emulated on school campuses statewide. This funding is geared toward clean transportation and mobility options in and around schools. The project concept includes strategies for electric vehicles and electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) in schools (K-12) such as electrification of the school’s yellow and white fleet, a car share component for staff at schools to rotate using zero-emission vehicles, and outreach to students, parents and the community.
