Why we are involved:
The Ocean Project continually provides cutting edge market research data and analysis to help our partners be more strategic in their efforts to communicate for conservation action. We help our partners fill in the information gap and create an ocean literate and ready-to-act public by helping institutions and organizations strategically plan their education and outreach programs for conservation outcomes.
In particular, our research identifies Zoos, Aquariums, and Museums (ZAMs) as trusted messengers for guidance on conservation action. The public expects them to fill the action-information gap deficit necessary to motivate the interested (and willing to act) public unable to fit conservation action into their daily lives.
