Sensing Nature’s focus is environmental education, ethical ecotours and offering quality educational nature-related products through our on-line nature store. Our staff members are all certified UF/IFAS Florida Master Naturalists and include wildlife biologists, ecologists, park naturalists, and professional educators. We are dedicated to teaching others, visitors to residents, young to retired, about the importance of protecting our natural ecosystems and being diligent environmental stewards.
Based in Florida, Sensing Nature provides field trips to approximately 3,000 youths each year as well as instructing at least 7 UF/IFAS Florida Master Naturalist Program courses for adults annually, providing teacher trainings, workshops for environmental professionals, and resident and visitor ecotours. Through each contact opportunity, we encourage our participants to make small to large environmentally positive changes in their behaviors, thereby creating better environmental stewards and a healthier tomorrow. We also strongly embrace partnership opportunities with mission-similar organizations and encourage community participation through citizen science initiatives.
